Since Walker Methodist began in 1945, it has grown into a non-profit organization, serving seniors at locations throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
In addition to skilled nursing care, Walker provides seniors independent housing with services, assisted living, rehabilitation, memory care for those with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, an adult day program, transitional care, and dental care. Combined with our social services, therapeutic recreation, and spiritual care support, Walker enhances the health, mind, and spirit of the individual.
The senior population continues to expand, and so do the career opportunities for people specializing in senior health care. Nurses, nursing aides, social workers, therapy professionals, therapeutic recreation staff, dietitians, laundry staff, and housekeepers are in demand.
