Job Description: 
Purpose:
A. Implement involvement of families in family and individual counseling as an integral part of the service of the agency.
B. Assure the comprehensive, interdisciplinary clinical assessment is the basis for individualized treatment planning and service delivery.
C. By consultation, training and supervision assist agency personnel in providing an interdisciplinary treatment program that addresses the needs of youth with conduct, anxiety, affect, adjustment, impulse control, chemical dependency or addiction and/or other medical, mental or emotional disorders evident in adolescence which are of such severity that residential treatment has been determined to be the treatment of choice.

Education, training, experience: 
Qualifications:
A. A Social Worker with a Master’s degree from an accredited program of social work education with a specialty in clinical practice or with supervised post-graduate clinical experience consistent with licensure.
B. Other advanced degree with clinical training and experience, qualified according to the requirement of licensure in that discipline.
C. Five years of progressive experience under a qualified mental health or human service professional with an advanced degree.

Responsible To:
Executive Director or his designee

Principal Accountabilities:
A. Provide individual and family therapy services for residents in need of psychotherapeutic sessions.
B. Assist staff members in intervention techniques that facilitate a treatment experience in the daily milieu.
C. Facilitate special group therapy programs for the agency.
D. Participate in and complete assessments and evaluations of clients, formulate and produce treatment plans in conjunction with the Unit Directors and participate team staffing and treatment plan meetings.
E. Participate in program planning and assessment through the PQI process.
F. Implement quality improvement procedures for treatment services.
G. Assure that all treatment plan and education plan reporting is prepared and presented in a timely and professional manner and that plans are implemented as described.
H. Work in conjunction with the Program Director on all issues dealing with the program and the milieu.
